BOH Sungei Palas Tea Centre
The Sungei Palas Tea Centre is the visitor centre of BOH, the Malaysian tea company that dates its brand to 1929, at its Sungei Palas garden near Brinchang in the Cameron Highlands, Pahang. BOH acquired the garden in the 1950s and built the visitor centre and café in 2007, with a 20-foot overhanging deck named J.A.'s Balcony after the founder, J.A. Russell. A second wing, Tristan's Terrace, was added in 2019 with seating for 200. BOH says its estates lie more than 5,000 feet above sea level, and Tourism Pahang describes Brinchang as the highest of the three highland towns.
