When to go to Singapore
The most reliably dry stretch of the year, with slightly lower humidity. Comfortable for walking the civic district and the gardens, and the best window for outdoor attractions.
Hot and humid with afternoon showers, but this is the Great Singapore Sale period and the school-holiday window for Indian families. Attractions are busier; hotels price accordingly.
Showery but quieter, and the Formula One night race falls in this window, which lifts hotel rates sharply for a fortnight around it.
The wettest period, with heavy but usually short afternoon downpours. Christmas on Orchard Road and Chinese New Year are both worth planning around, and indoor attractions are unaffected.

Singapore entry — plan the visa first
Ordinary Indian passport holders must obtain an e-visa before travelling. Applications are submitted through an authorised visa agent or a Singapore-based contact using the ICA’s SAVE system — you cannot simply apply as a walk-in individual. The government fee is SGD 30 and processing typically takes three to five working days. There is one significant exception: Indians holding a valid visa or residence permit from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Germany or Switzerland may enter visa-free for up to thirty days.
Processing time Three to five working days is typical for the e-visa. Apply with margin rather than close to departure, particularly around Indian school holidays.
