Trinidad and Tobago’s Immigration Division publishes a single list headed "Citizens of the countries listed below do not require visas for entry into Trinidad and Tobago". India does not appear on it. That absence is deliberate rather than accidental: the list runs to some ninety entries and includes both Bangladesh and Pakistan, along with Commonwealth partners such as Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The positive confirmation comes from the other direction — the High Commission for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in New Delhi publishes its own visa application checklist for applicants in India, which is what you work from. It asks for two application forms with all twenty-two questions completed and original signatures that match on both copies, two recent passport photographs on each form, a passport valid for six months from the date of intended travel, a colour copy of the passport’s front and back pages, your proposed travel itinerary, the fee with a return courier fee where required, and a self-addressed envelope. Applications are made in person, or through a third party with a completed authorisation form.

Do not buy tickets before the visa is decided The High Commission puts this in bold on its own checklist, and it is the single most useful line on the page: "You are strongly advised not to confirm/purchase tickets until after visa application is processed." It asks for a proposed itinerary, not a paid one. It also warns that incomplete applications will not be processed at all, so the twenty-two questions, the matching signatures and the photograph specification are not formalities — they are the difference between a decision and a returned envelope. The checklist states no processing time and no permitted length of stay, so we publish neither; ask when you apply.
