Indian passport holders need a visa for Egypt. The dependable route is the e-Visa, applied for online before travel on the official portal.
Apply for the Egypt e-Visa on the official portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) at least seven days before departure. A visa on arrival is not the standard route for Indian passports: it has been available only in limited cases, such as to holders of certain valid US, UK or Schengen visas, and is applied inconsistently at the airport — do not plan a trip around it.
