Maldives
Overwater villas, house reefs and barefoot luxury — the definitive tropical escape across a thousand coral islands.
The Art of Doing
Absolutely Nothing
The Maldives is the easiest luxury escape from India — a four-and-a-half-hour flight to 26 atolls of impossibly clear water, where each resort is its own private island. You arrive by speedboat or seaplane, and from that moment the world narrows to sand, reef and horizon.
It is the honeymoon benchmark for a reason: overwater villas with steps into the lagoon, house reefs alive with turtles and rays, and a level of service built entirely around privacy. But it also works beautifully for families and for anyone who simply wants to stop.

Maldives Visa — What You Need to Know
Indian passport holders are eligible for visa-free entry to the Maldives for tourist stays of up to 30 days, subject to Maldives immigration requirements.
A free 30-day tourist visa is issued to Indian passport holders on arrival at Malé — no visa needed in advance. A confirmed resort/hotel booking is required.
Reviewed against current Maldives immigration policy. Indian passport holders are eligible for visa-free entry for tourist stays of up to 30 days.
Visa regulations may change without prior notice. Travellers should verify the latest requirements with the Maldives Immigration authority or your airline before travel.
Meeting every published requirement does not guarantee that a visa is issued. Each application is assessed on its own merits by the relevant authority, which may request further documents or refuse an application without giving reasons. Live Traveller can prepare and check your documentation, but no agent or operator can promise an outcome — and you should treat anyone who does with caution. Book refundable arrangements until your visa is in hand.
For all Maldives journeys we design, we prepare your complete visa documentation package — the forms, the supporting documents, the sequence of submission. Our visa specialists help travellers prepare complete applications with careful document guidance. Final visa decisions always remain with the relevant authorities.
How Much Does the Maldives Cost?
The Maldives spans a huge range — from local-island guesthouses to private-island resorts.
| Duration & Style | Board | Estimated Cost (per person) |
|---|---|---|
| 4N — Water villa, mid-luxury | Half board | On Request |
| 5N — Two-resort split | Full board | On Request |
| 7N — Premium private island | All-inclusive | On Request |
| 4N — Local island guesthouse | B&B | On Request |
Transfer type (speedboat vs seaplane), board basis and season move the price more than the number of nights. We quote per journey.
