Victoria Falls is shared with Zambia, but the two banks are not equivalent. Zimbabwe holds the greater part of the frontage and looks across at the falling water rather than standing on top of it, which is why the panoramic photographs are almost always taken from this side. The rainforest path runs opposite the curtain for well over a kilometre, and the view holds up even when the river is low and the Zambian side has thinned to rock.
Away from the Falls, Zimbabwe is one of the strongest safari countries in Africa and one of the least busy. Hwange holds enormous elephant herds around pumped waterholes. Mana Pools, on the Zambezi floodplain, is UNESCO-inscribed and is one of very few African parks where you are permitted to walk without a guide — the reason serious safari travellers keep returning to it.
And there is history that has nothing to do with wildlife. Great Zimbabwe is a city of mortarless stone walls built between roughly the 11th and 15th centuries, UNESCO-inscribed, and it is where the modern country took its name. Entry is straightforward: Indian passport holders are normally issued a visa on arrival.

Zimbabwe entry — issued on arrival
Indian passport holders are normally issued a visa on arrival, valid thirty days and extendable to ninety for tourism.
India sits in the category of nationalities that may obtain a Zimbabwean visa on arrival. It is issued at the port of entry, valid for thirty days for business or tourism, and can be extended to a maximum of ninety days where the purpose of the visit is tourism. An e-visa route also exists for travellers who would rather have the document settled before departure. Confirm the current position with the Zimbabwean mission before booking non-refundable travel.
This is the practical difference between the two banks. Late in the dry season the Zambian side can thin to bare rock while the Zimbabwean frontage still carries water. If your dates fall in September or October and the Falls matter to you, that should decide which side you stay on.
The joint Zimbabwe-Zambia visa exists, but India is not among the eligible nationalities. Plan on separate entries for each country rather than counting on the combined document.
The visa on arrival is issued for thirty days. Extension to a maximum of ninety is possible where the purpose is tourism, but it is an application in-country rather than an automatic right — do not build an itinerary that depends on it.

Most trips start at Victoria Falls and add one or two parks. Hwange is the easiest to reach; Mana Pools is the one people come back for.
The rainforest path runs opposite the curtain for well over a kilometre, and the Zimbabwean bank holds the larger share of the frontage. Sunset cruises on the upper Zambezi and the bridge between the two countries are all within walking distance of town.
