Overview

Why Mizoram

Mizoram is a hill state on the borders of Myanmar and Bangladesh, with Aizawl as its capital and largest centre. The appeal is landscape and culture rather than monuments: the State Museum on Macdonald Hill, the Durtlang Hills viewpoint, Reiek Heritage Village and the grape and wine country around Champhai. Since September 2025 trains have run to Sairang, close to Aizawl.
