Air India and flydubai link networks: one ticket and checked-through bags via Dubai, Delhi and Mumbai
An interline agreement lets Air India passengers reach 52 flydubai destinations via Dubai, and flydubai passengers 69 Air India destinations via Delhi and Mumbai, on a single ticket.
What was agreed
flydubai announced on 16 September 2026 that it has signed interline agreements with Air India and Uzbekistan Airways. Interlining lets a passenger buy one ticket covering flights on both airlines, with baggage checked through to the final destination. It is not a codeshare: each airline keeps its own flight numbers, and neither sells seats on the other’s flights under its own code.
flydubai says the agreements give its passengers “seamless access to more than 80 additional destinations” through the two partners, and take its interline network to 46 airlines reaching more than 300 destinations.
For Air India passengers: 52 destinations via Dubai
According to Gulf News, Air India passengers can now book through Dubai to 52 flydubai destinations: 23 in Europe, 21 in the Middle East, six in Africa and two in the CIS. For travellers from India, that means one booking — and one bag tag — for a trip that continues from Dubai to a city Air India does not serve itself.
For flydubai passengers: 69 Air India destinations via Delhi and Mumbai
In the other direction, flydubai passengers can reach 69 Air India destinations through Delhi and Mumbai, Gulf News reports. flydubai names Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Goa, Jaipur, Pune and Varanasi in India, and international points including Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Mauritius, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. That is most useful for Indians living in the Gulf who fly home to a city flydubai does not serve.
How to book, and what is not yet known
flydubai says interline itineraries can be booked on flydubai.com, other airline websites, the flydubai app, its contact centre, travel shops and travel partners. Neither flydubai’s release nor the Gulf News report gives a date from which every itinerary is bookable, or any fare detail. If a combination you want does not appear online, ask the airline or your travel agent before assuming it is not covered.
Before booking a connection, check the minimum connection time at Dubai, Delhi or Mumbai, and ask how a missed connection would be handled on your ticket.
