Hunnu Air starts the first direct India–Mongolia flight: Delhi–Ulaanbaatar weekly from 28 September

The flight

Hunnu Air, a Mongolian airline, lists a weekly service between Delhi and Ulaanbaatar in its published timetable. Flight MR302 leaves Delhi on Mondays at 08:00 and arrives in Ulaanbaatar at 16:00, local times. The return, MR301, leaves Ulaanbaatar on Mondays at 03:30 and reaches Delhi at 07:00. The timetable shows the service running from 28 September 2026 to 27 March 2027, and notes that timings may change without notice.

TravTalk, reporting the launch on 18 September, describes it as the first regular direct air service between India and Mongolia, and gives the same days, times and dates. It quotes the Embassy of India in Ulaanbaatar as saying the service is expected to support trade and tourism, and Hunnu Air’s chief commercial officer, Turbold Tserenkhuu, as saying journeys between the two countries can take more than 20 hours with one or two stops. He said the airline is looking at Mumbai and Bengaluru as future destinations; no dates were given for those.

What it means for Indian travellers

For the first time, Mongolia is one flight from India. With one flight a week in each direction, a trip is built in whole weeks: out on a Monday, back on a later Monday. Hunnu Air’s timetable does not say which aircraft operates the route, and we have not checked fares or seat availability; book through the airline and confirm the schedule close to departure.
