Nok Air returns to India: Hyderabad–Don Mueang from 15 October, four times a week
The Thai low-cost carrier’s only Indian route is on sale. We checked its booking engine: DD 959 leaves Hyderabad at 00:45 on a 737-800, and nothing is bookable before 15 October.
The route, read off the airline’s own inventory
Nok Air is flying to India again, and Hyderabad is the whole of it. The Thai low-cost carrier now runs a dedicated India page for the route, selling Hyderabad to Don Mueang from ₹15,887 and pitching onward connections across Thailand. Hyderabad is the only international point in its network.
Trade coverage broke this on 1 September, but with no flight number and no aircraft type, so we checked the airline’s booking engine directly on 6 September. The outbound is DD 959, departing Hyderabad at 00:45 and arriving Don Mueang at 05:55 — three hours and forty minutes — operated by a Boeing 737-800.
When it actually starts
The first bookable India departure is Thursday 15 October 2026. That is not an inference from a press release: the airline’s calendar greys out every date before it, and a search for 12, 13 or 14 October returns no service at all. Launch week runs Thursday and Saturday only — 15 and 17 October.
From 19 October the pattern settles to four flights a week. The bookable dates for the rest of the month are 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29 and 31 October, which is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. On the 15th, the one-way fare ladder ran THB 5,837 for Nok Lite, THB 6,803.74 for Nok X-tra and THB 8,069.94 for Nok MAX; 17 October was cheaper at THB 5,417.12.
Why it matters, and what we have not checked
Hyderabad has been comparatively thin on southeast Asian low-cost capacity, and a 00:45 departure arriving Bangkok before six in the morning gives you a full first day. Don Mueang is also Thailand’s low-cost hub, so the onward network is the point: Nok Air offered us Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Krabi, Phuket, Hat Yai, Surat Thani, Udon Thani and several others as connecting destinations from the same booking.
What we have not verified: the return timings, the launch-week pattern in the Bangkok-to-Hyderabad direction, and whether the schedule shifts under the northern winter timetable. We also found no Nok Air press release and no named executive attached to the launch, so anything you read quoting one should be treated carefully.
