SWISS starts Bengaluru–Zurich nonstop flights on 28 October, five times a week
Swiss International Air Lines begins nonstop Bengaluru–Zurich flights on 28 October 2026, five days a week, with First Class on every flight. Days, times and what to check before booking.
The route
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will fly nonstop between Bengaluru and Zurich five times a week, “starting 28 October 2026”, according to the airline’s website. The Lufthansa Group announced the route on 19 May 2026, saying tickets were on sale from that day through swiss.com and travel agencies.
The Group’s announcement says the flights will have First Class on every flight, alongside Business and Economy, and that Zurich becomes the third Lufthansa Group gateway from Bengaluru after Frankfurt and Munich. It does not name the aircraft type.
Days and times
From Bengaluru: LX 141 leaves at 4.50am and arrives in Zurich at 10.50am, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. From Zurich: LX 140 leaves at 1.20pm and arrives in Bengaluru at 2.55am the next day, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Times are local, as published on swiss.com.
Some reports give the first flight as 26 or 27 October. We have used SWISS’s own start date; check the date on your booking.
What it means for travellers
For travellers from Bengaluru and southern India, Zurich becomes a nonstop flight away, and SWISS says the service connects through its Zurich hub to cities across Europe and North America on the Lufthansa Group network.
Switzerland is in the Schengen area, so the EU’s new border checks apply: see our report on the EU Entry/Exit System. Also see our guides to Switzerland and Bengaluru.
