Langkawi Sky Bridge
A curved, 125-metre suspension footbridge hung from a single pylon near the top of Mount Machinchang, visited with the SkyCab.
Langkawi Sky Bridge
The Langkawi Sky Bridge is a curved pedestrian suspension bridge, 125 metres long, near the top of Mount Machinchang in the north-west of Langkawi. The deck hangs from a single pylon, and the operator says every part was prefabricated, lifted in by helicopter and assembled on the mountain. From the bridge the view takes in the Machinchang range, the Andaman Sea and the surrounding islands. It is run by Panorama Langkawi, the SkyCab operator, as a separately ticketed attraction, and visitors normally reach it by riding the cable car up from Oriental Village first.

On the bridge
A short walk along a curved deck, with the mountain on one side and open air on the other.
The structure
- A 125-metre curved deck, which the operator ranks among the longer curved suspension bridges in the world.
- A single pylon carries the whole span.
The view
- The ridges of the Machinchang range, inside Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park.
- The Andaman Sea and the islands of the Langkawi archipelago.
Tied to the SkyCab
The bridge depends on the cable car, so plan the two together.
From the operator
- When the SkyCab is closed, the Sky Bridge is closed as well.
- The SkyCab operation calendar lists maintenance entries and can change without notice.
Our planning notes
- Do the bridge on the same visit as the SkyCab; it is not a separate trip.
- The bridge is high and exposed, so it may not suit travellers who are uneasy with heights.
On the same mountain
The bridge is part of the Oriental Village and Mount Machinchang group of attractions.
