The Mori Art Museum occupies the fifty-third floor of the Mori Tower and shows only temporary exhibitions — there is no permanent collection to fall back on, which forces the programme to be ambitious and means no two visits are the same. It leans toward contemporary art from Asia, large-scale installation and architecture, and the shows are usually the most serious contemporary programme running in the city. It also opens until ten most nights, which makes it one of the few cultural options left after a day of temples.
