Air India from 25 October: daily Khajuraho flights via Delhi and Varanasi, Mumbai–Jaisalmer, more Gaya
From 25 October Air India flies daily to Khajuraho on a Delhi–Khajuraho–Varanasi triangle, starts daily Mumbai–Jaisalmer flights and adds a second daily Delhi–Gaya service. Schedules inside.
What starts on 25 October
Air India’s winter schedule, which begins on 25 October 2026, adds three things to its domestic network, the airline announced on 11 March: daily flights to Khajuraho linking it with Delhi and Varanasi, daily nonstop flights between Mumbai and Jaisalmer, and a second daily flight between Delhi and Gaya. Air India says bookings are open on its website, app and through travel agents.
Khajuraho: a daily triangle with Delhi and Varanasi
The Khajuraho flights run as a triangle whose direction alternates by day, so travellers can visit Khajuraho, known for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples, and Varanasi on one trip in either order.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight AI2568 flies Delhi–Khajuraho (1.25pm–2.40pm), Khajuraho–Varanasi (3.30pm–4.15pm) and Varanasi–Delhi (5.05pm–6.30pm). On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flight AI2567 flies Delhi–Varanasi (1.25pm–2.50pm), Varanasi–Khajuraho (3.40pm–4.25pm) and Khajuraho–Delhi (5.15pm–6.30pm). Times are local.
Mumbai–Jaisalmer and a second Delhi–Gaya flight
Mumbai–Jaisalmer is a new seasonal route for the winter: AI2563 leaves Mumbai daily at 10am and reaches Jaisalmer at 11.40am; AI2564 leaves Jaisalmer at 12.50pm and reaches Mumbai at 2.30pm. It adds to Air India’s existing daily Delhi–Jaisalmer winter flights.
Delhi–Gaya gets a morning flight alongside the existing afternoon one: AI2561 leaves Delhi at 7.45am (arriving 9.15am) and AI2562 leaves Gaya at 10am (arriving 11.25am). The existing AI429 leaves Delhi at 3pm and AI430 leaves Gaya at 5.15pm.
What it means for travellers
Air India says the flights are timed to connect at Delhi with its services from cities including London, Frankfurt, Paris, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo. The release describes Mumbai–Jaisalmer as seasonal and does not give an end date. Schedules can change, so check your flight when you book.
