Emirates brings the A380 to Delhi from 25 October, and Premium Economy to all four daily Delhi flights
From 25 October Emirates flies its A380 on one of four daily Dubai–Delhi flights, making Delhi its third A380 city in India, and puts an A350 on Kolkata. What changes for travellers.
What changes on 25 October
Emirates will fly its Airbus A380 to Delhi from 25 October 2026, making the capital the third Indian city on the double-decker’s network after Mumbai and Bengaluru, the airline announced on 9 July. The A380 will operate flights EK512/513 in a four-class layout: First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy.
Emirates flies four times a day between Dubai and Delhi. The other three flights stay on the Boeing 777, which Emirates says has been retrofitted with four cabin classes, so Premium Economy will be available on all four daily Delhi services. Emirates names EK511, EK515 and EK517 as the 777 flights, and EK513 as the A380.
What it means for travellers
This is a change of aircraft on existing flights, not a new route, and Emirates has not announced new fares with it. For Delhi flyers, the difference is the cabin: the A380 and the retrofitted 777s offer Premium Economy, a cabin between Economy and Business. Check which flight number you are booked on, as the aircraft differs by departure, and note that schedules can change.
