Pricing Disclaimer
This page explains how to read the prices published on livetraveller.in, and when a price becomes yours.

Published prices are indicative
Prices shown on this website are guide prices. They exist to help you judge whether a journey is in the right range before you invest time in planning it.
They are not quotations, and they are not held for you. Travel pricing moves constantly — often daily, sometimes hourly — because airfares, hotel rates and exchange rates all move independently and in real time.
A published price reflects a particular set of assumptions: a season, a party size, a room category, a routing and an availability picture at the moment it was prepared. Change any of those and the price changes with it.
What moves a price
When you travel. Peak season, school holidays, festivals and major events all lift prices, sometimes steeply. The same journey a fortnight earlier or later can cost meaningfully less.
How far ahead you book. Airfares and the better-value accommodation move in both directions with demand. Neither booking very early nor very late is reliably cheaper — it depends on the route and the season.
How many of you there are. Per-person costs fall as a party grows, because vehicles, guides and some fixed costs are shared. Solo travellers usually face a single supplement on accommodation priced per room.
What you choose. Room category, hotel standard, private versus shared transport, guided versus independent days, and which experiences you include.
Exchange rates. Most international travel is contracted in foreign currency. The rupee cost of the same journey moves with the exchange rate even when nothing about the journey has changed.
Airfare availability. Airlines sell in fare buckets. When a bucket sells out the next one opens at a higher price, which is why a fare can rise between the day you enquire and the day you confirm.
What a published price usually excludes
Unless a page says otherwise, guide prices do not include:
- international or domestic airfare, unless explicitly stated
- visa fees and application charges
- travel insurance
- meals not specified in the itinerary
- optional experiences and excursions
- tips, personal spending and items of a personal nature
- any tax or charge introduced after the price was published
Your quotation sets out exactly what is included and excluded for your journey. That list, not this general one, is what governs your booking.
When a price becomes yours
A price is fixed when you have a written quotation and you confirm it within its validity period.
Your quotation states what is included, what is excluded, and how long it remains open. Because the underlying components are live, a quotation cannot be held open indefinitely — the availability and rates it was built on will move.
Once a booking is confirmed, the price is the price, subject only to the narrow circumstances below.
After confirmation
A confirmed price may change only where a supplier or government imposes a charge outside our control — for example an airline fuel surcharge, a new or increased tax, or a currency-linked adjustment applied by a supplier under its own terms.
This is uncommon. If it happens, we will tell you promptly, explain exactly what has changed and why, show you the supplier's basis for it, and set out your options before anything is charged.
We do not increase a confirmed price for our own reasons.
Taxes
Prices are quoted in accordance with applicable Indian tax law, and the tax treatment of your booking is shown on your quotation and invoice.
Some destinations also levy taxes and fees payable locally — tourist taxes, city taxes, resort fees, park and permit fees, and departure taxes. These are collected by the supplier or authority at the destination rather than by us. Where we know such a charge applies to your journey, we will tell you at the quotation stage so it is not a surprise.
Our GSTIN is 09AAECL2652A1ZV.
Currency
We quote in Indian rupees unless agreed otherwise.
Where the underlying services are contracted in foreign currency, the rupee figure reflects the exchange rate applied when the quotation was prepared. If you pay in a currency other than the one billed, your bank or card issuer applies its own conversion rate and may add a charge. Those are outside our control.
Refunds on foreign-currency journeys are affected by the same movement — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Errors
We take care with pricing, but occasionally an error appears — a mistyped figure, a mis-stated inclusion, or a rate that was published incorrectly.
Where a price is obviously wrong we reserve the right to correct it, and we will not treat an obvious error as binding. If it affects a quotation you are holding, we will tell you immediately, explain the correction, and give you the choice of proceeding at the corrected price or not proceeding at all with nothing owed.
Getting a real price
The only price that means anything for your journey is one prepared for your dates, your party and your requirements.
Tell us where you want to go, roughly when, who is travelling and what matters most. A specialist will come back with a proposal and a firm price — and if your budget and the journey do not currently meet, we will say so and suggest what would change that.
