Port Blair and Havelock — A 3-Night Short Break on Two Andaman Islands
A long-weekend version of the Andamans. You sleep at Port Blair on the first and last nights and on Havelock in between, which is enough for the Cellular Jail, an afternoon and sunset at Radhanagar Beach, and a free half-day in town. Both ferries run on the middle days, so the day you fly stays clear.

- The Cellular Jail and its evening sound-and-light show

- A free afternoon in Port Blair on the way back
- The last night at Port Blair, the day before the flight
- Three nights, so it fits a long weekend
Day-by-day itinerary
You are met at Veer Savarkar airport and driven to your hotel. The evening goes to the Cellular Jail, the radial prison built between 1896 and 1906, where three of the original seven wings survive as a national memorial, followed by the sound-and-light show in its courtyard. The car drops you at the parking area and the last 200 metres are on foot. The show runs between 6 and 7 pm and seats are subject to availability on the day; the gap between the jail visit and the show is a good time to walk the lit seafront at Marina Park.
A car takes you from the hotel to the jetty for the ferry to Havelock. If your sailing is an early one, ask the hotel the evening before for a packed breakfast; whether they provide one is the hotel's decision. You are met at the Havelock jetty and driven to your hotel. The afternoon is Radhanagar, the long west-coast beach that holds a Blue Flag certification, for a swim and the last light. Bring a change of clothes and a towel: the vehicles do not carry passengers in wet clothes.
After breakfast you check out and take the ferry back to Port Blair, where a car brings you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for the town and its shops. Corbyn's Cove, Chidiya Tapu, Wandoor and the museums can be added at extra cost if time and availability allow.
After breakfast a car takes you to the airport. Port Blair's airport is small and busy, so plan to be there at least two hours before your flight.
