Good to Know

Frequently asked

Yes. All three are Schengen countries and one visa covers the trip. You spend three nights in France, one in Belgium and two in the Netherlands, so the application goes through the French consulate as the country with the most nights. Your specialist prepares the itinerary and confirmations the application needs; allow six weeks.
One night is exactly right. It breaks the journey, gives you the Grand Place — one of the finest squares in Europe — for an evening, and puts Bruges within an hour by train for the following day. Bruges is the reason to stop: a small medieval city of canals and towers that most travellers rank among the highlights of the trip. Going straight through means missing it.
Keukenhof opens from roughly the third week of March to the second week of May, and the tulip fields around it are at their best in the middle of April. If your dates fall in that window, the Zaanse Schans half-day becomes a Keukenhof half-day, or we add it — tell us when you enquire. Outside those weeks the gardens are closed and there are no tulip fields to see, which we would rather say plainly.
Yes, and the package books them: the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum both run timed entry and the Van Gogh in particular sells out well ahead. The Anne Frank House releases tickets six weeks ahead on a fixed morning and they go within the hour; we try for it for every traveller who asks, but it cannot be promised, and we will tell you either way.
Yes — it is short, flat and by train, with an Eiffel Tower day and a river cruise in Paris, windmills and a fishing village near Amsterdam, and canals everywhere. Disneyland Paris can replace one Paris day, and the NEMO science museum in Amsterdam is a good wet-weather afternoon. Tell us the children's ages when you enquire and we will shape the days for them.
