Seychelles Two-Island Break: Praslin and Mahé, 4 Nights

You are met at the airport on Mahé and taken to the Victoria jetty for the fast catamaran to Praslin, about an hour’s crossing, then driven to your hotel. This works if your flight lands in time for an afternoon sailing; if not, we arrange a first night on Mahé or a short flight instead and confirm it with your tickets.

A short boat ride takes you to La Digue, where you pick up a bicycle at the jetty and set your own day. The island is small and flat along the west coast, with few cars. Ride through the old plantation at L’Union to Anse Source d’Argent, or cross to the wilder beaches of the east. Lunch is at a beach café of your choice.

After breakfast, check out and take the ferry back to Mahé, where you are met at the jetty and driven to your hotel. The afternoon is free. Beau Vallon in the north-west is the island’s liveliest beach, with fishing boats, water sports and a small night market on Wednesdays.

A day in the marine park off Victoria. The glass-bottom boat shows you coral and reef fish without getting wet; then there is time to snorkel and hand-feed fish around Moyenne Island or its neighbours. A Creole barbecue lunch is served ashore, with time to swim before the boat heads back in the afternoon.

Breakfast at the hotel, and time for one last walk on the beach before you are collected for the airport. If your flight is late in the day, a late check-out can be requested, or we can suggest a stop in Victoria’s market to buy vanilla, spices and local chilli sauce to take home.
