Day-by-day itinerary
You land at Zurich and walk across to the railway station located directly beneath the airport, then take the train to your base in central Switzerland. Swiss airport-to-rail connections are unusually simple, and the journey is short. The rest of the day is free to settle in. · Central Switzerland
A full-day excursion to Mount Titlis. The ascent runs by cable car in stages, the last of them rotating slowly so that the view turns around you on the way up. The summit stands on a glacier, with an ice cave and a cliff walk, and snow underfoot at any time of year. · Central Switzerland
No touring is scheduled today. The lakes and the small towns around your base are easy to reach by train or boat on your own, and the day is yours. If you would rather add a third mountain, the Jungfraujoch excursion can be arranged locally at your own cost. · Central Switzerland
A full-day excursion to the Schilthorn. The ascent climbs out of the Lauterbrunnen valley by cable car, and the summit carries a revolving restaurant with a panorama that takes in the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau across the valley. On a clear day it is among the widest views in the Alps. · Central Switzerland
You make your own way to the station and take the train to Zurich, then your own way from Zurich station to your hotel. Zurich sits at the top of its lake with the old town on both banks of the river, and the afternoon is free. Local sightseeing can be arranged locally. · Zurich
Breakfast at the hotel, then make your own way to Zurich airport for your onward flight. The airport is a short and frequent train ride from the city centre. Allow the check-in time your airline requires.

- The Jungfraujoch excursion. It is marked optional by the source, named on Day 3, and is not included.
- Station transfers. Travel between railway stations and hotels is your own arrangement throughout.
- All meals other than the daily breakfasts listed above, and any meal expressly listed as part of a named included component. Lunches, dinners and drinks with meals are not included otherwise.
- Every activity the itinerary marks as optional. Optional excursions are named so you know what is available locally; none of them is included in the price.
- City tax, tourist tax or resort fee. Most European cities levy a per-person per-night tax which the hotel collects directly at check-in or check-out. It is not included.
