Day-by-day itinerary
You are met on arrival by a representative and transferred to your hotel on a private basis. Athens is flat and wide with the Acropolis standing over it, and the old quarter beneath the rock is walkable from most central hotels. The rest of the day is free. · Athens
A half-day guided tour of Athens on a shared seat-in-coach basis, covering the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. The museum holds what was taken down from the rock itself, so the two are best seen on the same morning. The rest of the day is free. · Athens
A private transfer takes you from your hotel to the port for the ferry out to Mykonos. On arrival a shared transfer runs from the port to your hotel. The evening brings a guided walking tour of the town, which is the best way to learn a place built as a deliberate maze of white lanes. · Mykonos
No touring is scheduled and the day is yours. Mykonos is small enough to cross easily, and the beaches, the windmills and the waterfront quarter are all within reach independently. A sightseeing tour can be arranged locally if you would rather have the day organised. · Mykonos
A shared transfer takes you from your hotel to the port for the ferry to Santorini, and a shared transfer runs from the port to your hotel on arrival. Check-in follows standard hotel times, and the rest of the day is free — the caldera rim at dusk is worth keeping the evening for. · Santorini
A volcanic excursion followed by the sunset at Oia. Santorini is the rim of a collapsed volcano and going out onto the water is the only way to see that clearly. Pick-up for the excursion is on a shared basis from selected central points. · Santorini
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out and a private transfer from your hotel to the airport for your onward flight. Santorini's airport is small and gets congested in season, so allow more time than the distance suggests.
