You are met at Canberra Airport and driven to your hotel by private car. The rest of the day is yours. Canberra is an unhurried city and the area around Lake Burley Griffin is made for a first evening on foot, so if you land early there is time to walk off the flight before dinner. · Canberra
A full eight-hour guided tour of Canberra, on a shared coach. This is the long day and it carries the weight of the trip — the tour runs through the landmarks that define the capital, from the seat of government to the national institutions built around the lake. Eight hours is an unusually generous touring day and it covers the city properly rather than at a glance. You return to your hotel afterwards. · Canberra
A guided wildlife day, again on a shared coach. Australia's animals are the reason many travellers come in the first place, and this day is built entirely around seeing them rather than fitting them around a city itinerary. You return to your hotel at the end of the day. · Canberra
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out and a private car to Canberra Airport for your onward flight. Canberra Airport sits close to the city, so the drive is short and the morning is unhurried. Your onward flight is not part of this package, so allow the check-in time your airline requires. If your flight leaves late in the day, ask the hotel about storing luggage after check-out so you have the day free.
