Day-by-day itinerary
You are met at Darwin Airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Darwin is small and faces its harbour, and the waterfront is the obvious place to spend a first evening after a long flight. · Darwin
A crocodile attraction in the centre of Darwin, where the Top End's best-known animal can be seen at close range in a controlled setting. In the evening, a dinner cruise on the harbour with dinner served on board as part of that excursion — the harbour at sunset is the thing Darwin is known for. · Darwin
You travel from Darwin into Kakadu National Park on a shared road service, and spend the day in the park, including its river and alligator-river country. You stay overnight inside the park rather than returning to Darwin. Lunch is provided as part of the day. · Kakadu
A further part of the day in the park before you return to Darwin by shared road service, with lunch provided as part of the day, and continue to Darwin Airport for your onward flight. Your onward flight is not part of this package, so allow the check-in time your airline requires — and note that the road journey from Kakadu is a long one, so late-afternoon or evening departures are the safer choice.
