Day-by-day itinerary
You are met on arrival by a representative and transferred to your hotel on a private basis. Athens spreads flat beneath its hills with the Acropolis visible from much of the centre, and the first evening is best spent walking the old quarter below it. · Athens
A city tour of Athens including the Acropolis Museum, which holds the sculpture and fragments brought down off the rock itself. Between the tour and the museum you get both the classical city and what survives of it indoors. The rest of the day is free. · Athens
A private transfer takes you from your hotel to the port for the ferry out to Mykonos, and a shared transfer runs from the port to your hotel on arrival. Check-in follows standard hotel times and the rest of the day is free. · Mykonos
No touring is scheduled and the day is entirely yours. The island is small, the town is a deliberate maze of white lanes, and the beaches and windmills are easy to reach independently. A sightseeing tour can be arranged locally if you want the day organised. · Mykonos
A shared transfer takes you from your hotel to the port for the ferry to Santorini, with a shared transfer from the port to your hotel on arrival. The rest of the day is free — worth keeping for the caldera rim in the late afternoon. · Santorini
A full-day panoramic bus tour of the island. It begins at the Akrotiri lighthouse on the southern tip, continues to Megalochori, a village that has changed very little, and takes in Panagia Episkopi, one of the oldest churches on Santorini. The island is larger and more varied than the caldera view suggests. · Santorini
A shared transfer takes you from your hotel to the port for the ferry back to Athens, and a private transfer meets you at the port on arrival. Check-in follows standard hotel times and the rest of the day is free for anything you missed at the start of the trip. · Athens
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out and a private transfer from your hotel to the airport for your onward flight. Flying out of Athens rather than an island airport makes an international connection considerably easier.
