Good to know

Frequently asked

The package starts and ends at Leh airport, and flights are not included; they are quoted separately and we can add them to your quotation.
Yes. The Ladakh inner line permit and the environment fee are included, and we arrange the permit using the identity documents we ask you for when you book. Rules for foreign passport holders are different, so tell us the nationality of everyone travelling and we will confirm what applies.
You arrive by air, so the height is reached all at once. The first day is left completely free for rest and the second stays beside the Indus near Leh before the road goes over the Khardung La on the third day. The whole trip is at high altitude and it crosses very high road passes, so take the first day's rest seriously, drink plenty of water and avoid exertion until you have adjusted. If you have a heart or lung condition, or are travelling with young children or older relatives, speak to your doctor before booking.
There is no guide: the sightseeing is done with your driver, and entrance fees at the sights are paid on the spot. The vehicle is not air-conditioned. It is an SUV-type vehicle for up to six travellers and a tempo traveller for eight or more, and it is provided for the journeys in the itinerary.
You stay two nights in Leh, two at a camp or hotel in the Nubra Valley, one at a camp or cottage at Pangong Lake and two more in Leh. You choose the category, from standard to luxury, and we name each property in your quotation. Breakfast and dinner are included every day; lunches are not. The programme runs in the summer season, from April to September, and we confirm the operating dates when you book.
