Good to know

Frequently asked

The package starts in Manali, which you reach by your own arrangements, and ends at Leh airport. The flight out of Leh is not included; flights are quoted separately and we can add them to your quotation. Carry photo identity, because documents are checked at Koksar and at Pang on the road.
Yes. The Ladakh inner line permit and the environment fee are included, and we arrange the permit using the identity documents we ask you for when you book. Rules for foreign passport holders are different, so tell us the nationality of everyone travelling and we will confirm what applies.
You travel up by road and sleep at a fixed camp in Sarchu on the second night, which is already very high, before reaching Leh on the third day. The fourth day stays beside the Indus near Leh before the Khardung La. The whole trip is at high altitude and it crosses very high road passes, so take the first day's rest seriously, drink plenty of water and avoid exertion until you have adjusted. If you have a heart or lung condition, or are travelling with young children or older relatives, speak to your doctor before booking.
There is no guide: the sightseeing is done with your driver, and entrance fees at the sights are paid on the spot. The vehicle is not air-conditioned. It is an SUV-type vehicle for up to six travellers and a tempo traveller for eight or more, and it is provided for the journeys in the itinerary.
You stay one night in a hotel in Manali, one at a fixed camp in Sarchu, two in Leh, one at a camp or hotel in the Nubra Valley, one at a camp or cottage at Pangong Lake and a last night in Leh. You choose the category, from standard to luxury, and we name each property in your quotation. Breakfast and dinner are included every day; lunches are not. The programme runs in the summer season, from April to September, and we confirm the operating dates when you book.
