Day-by-day itinerary
You are met at Lisbon airport by a representative and driven to your hotel in a private vehicle. The airport is close to the city so the transfer is short. The rest of the day is free to settle in. · Lisbon
A hop-on hop-off day around Lisbon, linking the waterfront with the older hill quarters. In a city where walking between sights means climbing between them, a route you can leave and rejoin is the practical way to cover the ground. · Lisbon
You make your own way to Lisbon station for the train north to Porto, and your own way from Porto station to your hotel. The rail journey itself is included. Portugal is narrow and the run north takes you most of the length of the country. · Porto
A hop-on hop-off day in Porto. The city stacks steeply above the Douro, with the bridges across to the port lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia on the far bank, and the route takes in both sides without the climbing. · Porto
No touring is scheduled and the day is yours. Two options are commonly arranged locally — a full day up the Douro valley with wine tasting and a river cruise, or a shorter Douro boat trip. Neither is included, and anything you book is at your own cost. · Porto
You make your own way to Porto station for the train back south to Lisbon, and your own way from Lisbon station to your hotel. The evening is free — a Fado performance with priority entry can be arranged locally if you want one. · Lisbon
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out and a private transfer from your hotel to Lisbon airport for your onward flight. Allow the check-in time your airline requires.
