Day-by-day itinerary
You are met at Calicut airport and driven to your hotel. Calicut is where Vasco da Gama landed in 1498, and the old trading town still sits behind its long beach. The rest of the day is free. · Calicut
You drive inland and upward to Wayanad, about three hours through the northern Western Ghats. The road climbs steeply through forest and plantation country before reaching the district's higher ground. · Wayanad
A day of Wayanad sightseeing across the district's plantation and forest country. Coffee, pepper and cardamom all grow here and the hills stay green through most of the year. · Wayanad
You descend from the hills and drive to Kannur on the coast, about three and a half hours. The rest of the day is free once you reach the sea. · Kannur
A day of Kannur sightseeing along the district's coast. Kannur is known for its handloom weaving and its theyyam ritual tradition, and its beaches are quiet compared with those further south. · Kannur
After breakfast you check out and are driven to Kannur airport for your onward flight. Finishing here avoids the long drive back to Calicut. Your onward flight is not part of this package, so allow the check-in time your airline requires.
