Day-by-day itinerary
You are met at Perth Airport and driven to your hotel by private vehicle. The remainder of the day is free. Perth's centre is compact and the Swan River foreshore is an easy walk from most city hotels, which makes for a gentle first evening after a long flight. · Perth
A half-day sightseeing tour of Perth in the morning, followed by a tour of Fremantle. Fremantle is the port at the river mouth, a separate town in character from Perth itself, with a preserved centre of colonial-era buildings and a working harbour. Both tours run on a shared seat-in-coach basis. Note that these tours do not collect from or return to your hotel, so you will make your own way to and from the departure point. · Perth
A full day out to Rottnest Island, the low sandy island off the Perth coast that Western Australians treat as their weekend escape. The excursion departs from Perth and includes a train and a guided tour of the island, with lunch provided as part of the day. The island has no private cars, which is a large part of why it feels the way it does. You return to Perth in the evening. The excursion runs on a shared basis. · Perth
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out and a private transfer to Perth Airport for your onward flight. Your onward flight is not part of this package, so allow the check-in time your airline requires — and note that Perth's distance from Australia's east coast means onward domestic sectors are long ones. If your flight leaves later in the day, ask the hotel about storing luggage after check-out.
